Please read before booking. These Terms apply to every charter booked through Solara Yacht Group. Section 2 explains that many vessels are operated by independent Partner Operators and limits our responsibility for them. By booking, you agree to these Terms on behalf of everyone in your party.
About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of this website and to any charter you book through Solara Yacht Group ("Solara", "we", "us"). By submitting an inquiry, confirming a booking, making a payment, or boarding a vessel booked through us, you ("you", "Client") agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and everyone in your party.
Your booking confirmation or charter agreement for a specific booking ("Booking Confirmation") may include additional terms. If it conflicts with these Terms, the Booking Confirmation controls for that booking.
Our Role and Partner Operators
Solara is a charter booking service. Vessels listed on this website are operated either by Solara or its affiliates, or by independent vessel owners and charter companies we work with ("Partner Operators"). Your Booking Confirmation will name the operator of your vessel.
When your charter is with a Partner Operator:
- Solara acts only as a booking agent. We arrange the charter between you and the Partner Operator.
- The Partner Operator alone is responsible for the vessel and your charter. That includes its captain and personnel, condition, maintenance, safety equipment, licensing, permits, insurance, and operation.
- Solara is not responsible or liable for any injury, illness, death, loss, damage, delay, cancellation, or other claim caused by the acts, omissions, negligence, or failure to perform of a Partner Operator or its personnel. Any such claim must be made against the Partner Operator.
- The Partner Operator may require you and your guests to sign its own charter agreement, waiver, or rules. These apply to your charter together with these Terms.
- If a Partner Operator cancels your charter, we will work with you to find a comparable vessel or arrange a refund of the amounts you paid through Solara for that charter.
Booking and Payment
Submitting an inquiry does not reserve a vessel or a date. A booking is confirmed only after we have confirmed availability in writing and received your deposit.
Rates on this website are starting rates. They may change without notice and are not a quote. Your final rate, deposit, payment due dates, and what is included are set out in your Booking Confirmation.
Unless your Booking Confirmation says otherwise, gratuity, food and drinks, add-ons, overtime, and applicable taxes and fees are not included in the rate.
Cancellations, Rescheduling and Weather
Cancellation and rescheduling policies can vary by vessel. The policy for your charter is stated in your Booking Confirmation. All cancellation and rescheduling requests must be made in writing.
The person in command of the vessel may delay, shorten, or cancel a charter for weather, sea conditions, mechanical issues, or safety. If a charter is cancelled before departure for these reasons, you may reschedule or receive a refund of the amounts paid for that charter, as set out in your Booking Confirmation. Rain alone is not usually considered unsafe conditions.
Your charter time begins at the scheduled departure time. Late arrival does not extend it.
Guests, Safety and Conduct
Every vessel has a maximum guest capacity that cannot be exceeded. Guests beyond capacity will be refused boarding.
All guests must follow the safety instructions of the person in command of the vessel. The charter may be ended early, with no refund, if any guest:
- ignores safety instructions,
- behaves in a violent, abusive, or dangerous way,
- is dangerously intoxicated, or
- brings prohibited items aboard.
Only guests 21 or older may drink alcohol. Illegal drugs, weapons, fireworks, glitter, and confetti are not allowed aboard. Guests under 18 must be supervised by a parent or guardian aboard at all times.
You are responsible for the conduct of everyone in your party.
Damage and Personal Belongings
You are responsible for loss or damage to the vessel or its equipment caused by you or your guests, beyond normal wear. This includes excessive cleaning costs.
Neither Solara nor the vessel operator is responsible for personal belongings that are lost, stolen, or damaged during a charter.
Assumption of Risk
Boating and water activities involve inherent risks, including injury, illness, drowning, property damage, and death. By booking and boarding, you and each guest voluntarily accept these risks.
All guests may be asked to sign a waiver before boarding. Anyone who refuses may be denied boarding, with no refund.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Solara is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or any charter.
- Solara's total liability for any claim relating to a charter is limited to the amount you paid to Solara for that charter.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Solara and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from:
- your breach of these Terms, or
- the conduct of you or your guests during a charter.

Governing Law
